WSA Symposium 19th 20th October on Gower

So on the weekend of 19/ 20th we hosted the first WSA hydrofoil workshop based from Port Eynon along side the WSA trainer meeting and Symposium

Coaching and knowledge is key with Foiling as it’s a technical skill and expensive, so relatively niche although some would say its growing rapidly!
However we had a full boat of participants on both our planned clinics.
We were based off a rib , we gave basic land based instruction and safety briefing and then straight into it , starting participants off towing on their knees on a SUP foilboard and then trying standing.
We used a AXIS 92 ‘S series foil,  running the boat at no more than 12 knots to achieve lift.
The feedback we received was amazing, lots of enthusiasm and commitment to the foil.
Thanks to Matt Barker-smith of Foilsurf UK and Duncan Wallace of Newquay Watersports centre for support and Instruction. Ceri from Swansea Watersports for his boat skills and handling.
We have already been looking for next years venue, a tough choice to encompass so many great workshops that are in demand.
